What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN position at Syn-Tech Systems, Inc.?
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling the entire product or component ensuring customer requirements are met and in accordance with established processes and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assemble hardware working from Work Orders, Sales Orders, Assembly Instructions, Mechanical Drawings, and/or parts lists.
- Verify product/assembly conformance as a part of the assembly process.
- Perform simple rework for defective/nonconforming material, as needed.
- Perform basic inventory tasks such as regular cycle counts and pick assembly kits.
- Assemble AIM kits.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform simple facility maintenance, as needed, reporting more serious issues to Management.
- Participate in cross training within the department to provide support with service order processing, shipping and receiving support, and pulling kits.
- Engage in process improvements using 5S, Lean Manufacturing and PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a consistent and dependable work history, ideally reflecting 3-5 years of tenure with each previous employer.
- Experience with common tools (assorted drivers, wrenches, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solder experience, a plus.
- Facility maintenance experience, a plus.
- Previous manufacturing/electronics experience, a plus.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to collaborate effectively within the department and across other teams.
