Your role
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure all operations staff is trained on safe food handling requirements to include knowledge of GMPs and HACCP. To ensure all operations staff understands intervals in the process that may present food safety risks and understand what actions should be taken in such events.
- Ensure that the paperwork has been understood and filled properly
- Check and validate the production paperwork against inventory system
- Communicate required production needs to fulfill batch requirements.
- Complete dispatches, internal transfers, picking list, raw material receptions, and work orders
- Report any system malfunction to the appropriate person and propose corrective actions
- Take the initiative to determine the solution of any problem faced by your production team
- Ensure KPI's are being met.
- Ensure food safety is followed throughout the production process.
- Responsible for the quality of the work performed by the production team
- Responsible for training, conducting discipline, performance reviews and hiring.
- Follow the company procedures and instructions including GMP.
About you
- High School Diploma; an Associate degree or higher preferred
- Previous experience as a shift supervisor or similar role
- Full understanding of industry safety standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as standing up for long hours and lifting heavy loads occasionally
- Working well within a team
- Ability to multitask
- Leadership and conflict-management skills
