Your role
- Inform Production Shift Supervisor of quality deviations according to product standards and production procedures including recommendation for disposition or action
- Review the results of quality checks and determine appropriate action to be taken
- Drive continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety systems
- Develop and improve all internal interdepartmental relations and external stakeholders.
- Train team to PC and OPRPs and work with Line Managers on conformance.
- Assist Q&FS Manager to investigate customer complaints and communicate results of consumer feedback information.
- Enforce/Respect the safety rules and the internal policy
About you
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in science/technical discipline is highly preferred (Science, Engineering, Food Science, etc.)
- 3 years previous experience in Quality and Food Safety, or Lab in manufacturing. Preferably food manufacturing
- Auditing experience and knowledge of Food Safety and ISO requirements
- Good communication skills to liaise internally and externally, as well as to assist in motivating, training, and improving the quality team
- Technically inclined with computer skills
- Unrestricted range of motion, self-motivated, initiative, team player, color discrimination, odor sensitive, and texture perception, depth perception, safety & hygiene & quality conscious.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
- HACCP and PCQI training is highly preferred
- ISO Lead Auditor certification is preferred
- USDA and FDA knowledge is preferred
