What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Content Writer/Strategist position at symplr?
symplr is looking for an experienced Digital Content Writer/Strategist to join our Corporate Marketing team! The successful candidate will have a strong interest in growing the symplr brand, and developing thought leadership, and digital content to support all external communications. Attention to detail, strong organization skills and quality execution for optimum performance are critical to this role's success.
The primary role of the Digital Content Writer/Strategist will be to develop a content strategy and editorial calendar to provide a steady cadence and top performing corporate content online. By working with SEO specialists, the PR agency and internal SMEs, you will draft relevant and compelling content with target keywords to drive organic and paid traffic through thought leadership and awareness building efforts. The, Writer/Strategist will collaborate across teams to write and edit content for externally facing communications including the website, symplr blog, PR, social media and all kinds of brand, leadership and digital storytelling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead content creation and strategy for enterprise editorial working across teams to identify opportunities and curate content to publish a steady cadence of blog posts and across channels
- Publish and maintain an editorial calendar and strategic themes for the enterprise and key priorities
- Direct content creation and coordinate Internal/external content resources
- Write content, maintain and contribute to a robust and high-performing content pipeline that elevates our brand awareness
- Provide quality assurance and coordinate content briefs and keywords to align teams
- Edit and proofread a variety of external communications including website content, the blog, eBooks, thought leadership, digital, and social, and various campaigns and industry events. Review marketing communications copy, drafts, and proofs for consistency with brand style guidelines
- Update the symplr content style guide and educate teams to support brand consistency across teams
- Help research topics and work with our Clinical Leaders to brainstorm content ideas for the team
- Work closely with marketing and designers to improve the quality of content and participate In communication Initiatives
- Be a flexible, creative team player
Skills Required:
- Attention to detail, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Strategic thinker able to plan and communicate milestones and publish content using systems (Asana, Hubspot, etc)
- Strong SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and digital communications knowledge is valuable
- Highly organized, self starter and deadline-oriented
- Excellent copy editing, fact-checking, proofreading, and research skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Copywriting experience especially for brand communications.
- B2B and healthcare industry experience preferred
- 5 years of writing/ editing or content strategy experience
Pay
90,000 - 110,000
