POSITION SUMMARY
-
The staff physical therapist assistant (P.T.A.) is responsible for the implementation of a corrective treatment plan designed by a licensed physical therapist according to the principles and practice of physical therapy. This includes continuous assessment of the patientΓÇÖs progress in conjunction with the licensed physical therapist, collaborative consultation with other health care professionals and maintenance of accurate and timely medical and business records.. Participation in departmental quality improvement activities, community outreach and program development is also required.

QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION:

Graduate of accredited Associates program in Physical Therapy.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:

Previous experience in acute care preferred, but entry level is acceptable.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):

State of Massachusetts license required, temporary license acceptable on entry.

CPR certification required.
