POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for verification of all inpatient admissions. Interviews self-pay patients to make payment arrangements or apply for assistance. Processes and recommends for approval Financial Assistance Program applications. Follows up on self pay accounts by making collection calls, documenting activity, making bad debt recommendations. Obtains all necessary information for billing prior to discharge.
