Key Responsibilities
- Full-Scope Practice: Deliver comprehensive primary eye care with a focus on detecting and managing health issues visible through the eye.
- Pathology Management: Diagnose and treat a significant amount of anterior and posterior segment pathology.
- Therapeutic Procedures: Manage conditions like red eye, corneal ulcers, and uveitis.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Perform thorough examinations to diagnose serious conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular disease.
- Minor Surgery: Execute necessary in-office procedures such as foreign body removal.
Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from an Accredited Optometry School.
- Licensure: Must be state licensed or in the process of obtaining licensure to practice Optometry in the state of practice.
