Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hourJob Description:Title: Medical Assistant:Location: Yonkers, NY/Dobbs Ferry, NYJob Type: Full-timeDescription:The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting physician with clerical duties, patient flow, patient care, and procedures. Full-time position, hours vary from 30-40 per week. Full-time Hourly Position to start ASAP (4 days per week, Monday-Thursday).Essential Job Functions:Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room.Perform preliminary physical tests: take blood pressure, weight and report patient history summary.Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding all medical records, and completing diagnostic procedure coding.Uses recognized and accurate medical terminology and abbreviations for all medical documentation.Collects, labels, and sends specimens with appropriate laboratory slips and/or requisitions.Assists physician with in-office procedures limited to set up and breakdown of simple sterile procedures. Draping and prepping patients under the direction of a licensed physician.Performs cleaning/decontamination of equipment/materials and instruments.Checks inventories, restocks and replaces patient equipment and supplies as needed.Perform other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications:Medical Assistant certification required.2 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient setting (OBGYN preferred).Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.Basic proficiency in computer use, required.Bilingual preferred.Benefits:401(k)Health insurance.Life insurance.Paid time off.Ability to Commute:Yonkers, NY 10701 (Required)Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Yonkers, NY 10701: Relocate before starting work.
