Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Glazing Field Supervisor/Installer to lead and execute high-quality glass installation projects across various construction sites. Duties
- Supervise daily glazing installation activities on construction sites, coordinating team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Install a variety of glass products, including storefronts, windows, curtain walls, and custom glass fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Manage fabrication processes and assist with metal stud framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling tasks as needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of heavy materials.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to verify proper installation and adherence to design plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate schedules, materials procurement, and project updates.
Skills
- Extensive experience in glass installation and construction site work with a solid understanding of blueprint reading and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment used in glazing projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for material needs and labor hours a plus
- Skilled in carpentry disciplines
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during installation tasks.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to glass fabrication or metal framing is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during unforeseen challenges.
- Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile task management across various construction activities.
