Job Summary
Are you mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to build a career as a fleet technician? We're looking for a Fleet Apprentice Technician to join our team in Menifee. This entry-level position offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear career path for individuals who are motivated to learn and grow.
Working under the direction of the Fleet Manager and Operations Manager, you'll help maintain ambulances and support vehicles that play a vital role in patient care.
What You'll Do
- Perform lube, oil, and filter changes.
- Complete preventive maintenance services and vehicle inspections.
- Assist with bumper-to-bumper repairs on ambulances and fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, cooling, and drivetrain systems under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop.
- Document inspections and repairs using an online maintenance system.
- Service Ford Transit, E-Series, F-Series, and other fleet vehicles.
Required:
- At least 1 year of automotive, diesel, or fleet mechanic experience.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical shop duties.
- Ability to work independently after training.
Preferred:
- Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Experience working on Ford vehicles.
- Fleet or emergency vehicle maintenance experience.
