Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials to ensure smooth workflow. Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by handing tools, holding materials, and performing basic tasks as directed. Operate manual and power tools safely under supervision to perform tasks such as digging trenches or moving heavy objects. Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing appropriate protective gear, inspecting equipment regularly, and maintaining a clean work environment. Help with loading and unloading materials and equipment to keep the site stocked and organized for ongoing work. Participate in routine site inspections to identify potential hazards and report them promptly to supervisors. Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues in completing project milestones efficiently.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in construction is a plus but not mandatory. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and climbing ladders. Strong attention to safety procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining a secure work environment. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly. Willingness to learn new skills on the job and adapt to changing project needs. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided.
