We are seeking a highly experienced GCP Engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado (Contract). You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to deliver reliable and performant solutions.

We are seeking a highly experienced GCP Engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado (Contract). You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to deliver reliable and performant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and related services
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and related tooling
- Optimize cloud costs through resource right-sizing, committed use discounts, and infrastructure efficiency reviews
- Implement security best practices including IAM policies, VPC design, Secret Manager, and compliance controls
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Deployment Manager
- Monitor and troubleshoot production environments using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and observability tooling
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and cloud-native architecture decisions
- Lead and mentor junior engineers on GCP best practices
- 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 5 years focused on GCP
- Deep expertise in core GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, VPC, Cloud Armor
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go)
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Google Cloud Professional certifications (Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Background in FinOps and cloud cost governance
- Familiarity with data engineering pipelines on GCP (Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery)
