About the role
In this role, you will function as the Lead for the Network Evaluation section of the Actuarial Stop Loss Pricing team. You will be involved with pricing our healthcare network factor and other special projects. In addition, you will manage a team of two direct reports.
What you will do
- Lead the Network Evaluation section of the Actuarial Stop Loss Pricing team
- Responsible for project initiation and management, advanced analysis, and technical documentation
- Improve processes and create efficiencies with reporting, documentation, and transparency
- Supervise two direct reports - review their work, engage in performance coaching and career development
- Partner with Sales and Underwriting teams and leverage contacts at healthcare networks/TPAs to obtain data for network analysis
- May assist with division and actuarial team strategy

Compensation
Salary Range: $103,300 - $172,200 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong quantitative background including college level mathematics
- 5 years of insurance related actuarial experience required
- ASA required, must be pursuing or finished with FSA credential
- Stop Loss, reinsurance, or healthcare experience a plus
- Prior management experience preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Highly skilled in PC utilization including spreadsheets, data management software, and actuarial modeling software
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of actuarial concepts and assumptions used for modeling, pricing, and financial reporting
- Able to solve complex actuarial problems independently in a multi-dimensional context
- Commitment to professional development and advancing industry knowledge
- High school diploma required.
