Launch a New Robotics Operation in Jackson, GA

It's an exciting time at Symbotic. As we open our new site in Jackson, GA, we begin with a Monday–Friday first shift and scale to a 24/7 operation as demand grows. When we transition to full operations, shifts will run:

• Sun–Tue every other Wednesday: 5am–5pm and 5pm–5am
• Thu–Sat every other Wednesday: 5am–5pm and 5pm–5am

A Day in the Life

You'll join our Customer Operations team—the group that steers the daily performance of Symbotic's AI-driven, robotic material handling platform inside our customers' facilities. Your mission: keep the automated cell running safely, efficiently, and at peak throughput.

Picture your shift: You start by verifying automated adapters are in a ready-to-run state. On the HMI, you watch the rhythm of automated storage and retrieval—managing manual inbound, automatic inbound, and automatic outbound to maximize cases per hour. A signal flashes: a stoppage. You diagnose root cause, take precise manual action, and bring the system back online. Between recoveries, you prep pallets for induction, tune bot health, and preserve uptime through inspection and preventive care.

What You'll Tackle

• Run pre-production checks on automated adapters and stage equipment for operation.
• Monitor and optimize AS/RS flow (manual inbound, auto inbound, auto outbound) for maximum throughput and cases/hour.
• Induct and prepare pallets for the Symbotic storage and retrieval system.
• Diagnose and clear system stoppages using the HMI plus hands-on intervention.
• Escalate issues impacting production immediately to operations leadership.
• Drive uptime via system preservation, robot recovery, suspect removal, and bot health actions.
• Perform routine inspections: cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checks, component validation, and current/electrical checks.
• Report out-of-spec conditions and execute root-cause corrective actions to keep components running.
• Use radios with professional etiquette to coordinate with leads and supervisors.
• Maintain rover bots: replace wheels, clean, service ESD brushes, sensors, and more.
• Recover automated robotic vehicles in the Symbotic Matrix select system, including work in restrictive spaces.
• Contribute wherever needed—other duties as assigned by leadership.

What You Bring

• Associate degree or equivalent experience/certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
• 1 year working with mechanical automation systems (or equivalent education/training).
• Hands-on skill with inspections: cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checks, current measurements, and electrical system checks.
• Strong prioritization to maximize uptime and throughput in an automated cell.
• Proven safety mindset and ability to work independently from procedures/manuals.
• Comfort multi‑tasking and handling multiple functions simultaneously.

Where You'll Work

• Frequent stair climbs into structure; regular proximity to high railings.
• Work is indoors but not climate-controlled: temperatures may range from 105° to 32° F.
• On construction sites, proper PPE is required: hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and fall protection (e.g., safety harness).
• Lift up to 50 lbs safely and efficiently; move items up to 80 lbs.
• Stand/walk 10–12 hours; frequent reaching with hands/arms.
• Work at heights up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas as small as 24 inches; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Perform occasional/continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movements using both hands and feet.
• Follow all safety requirements and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection.

Compensation & Benefits

The base range for this position in the posted location is $ $25.00; actual base pay will vary based on skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
