Assembler, Electro-Mechanical/Dark Room
Summary: Under general supervision working in a dark room environment, tones, inspects and measures component lights to specification.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs assembly as well as complex and repetitive wiring to produce complete sub-assemblies and final assemblies of product.
- Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from supervisor or Engineering to established procedures.
- Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling.
- Uses various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
- Checks electrical/mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance to Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required.
- Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
- Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.
- Maintains equipment and performs housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Responsible for contributing to the implementation and ongoing use of continuous improvement standards.
- Uses the principles of 5S to ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of one-year experience in a manufacturing environment and/or six months’ assembly experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have good eye sight without or with corrective lenses.
- Computer skills a must.
- Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility preferred.
- IPC 610 Certification a plus
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or standard work instructions.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
- English speak/read/write

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
