Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing support to students with special needs, working closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans.
Responsibilities
- Support students with special needs in various educational settings
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students
- Help students with daily tasks and activities
- Support classroom management and ensure a safe learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to address student needs
Qualifications
- Experience working with students, preferably in a special education setting
- Knowledge of childhood development and educational strategies
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
- Ability to work with diverse learning needs and styles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferred skills in literacy education, math, preschool teaching, Montessori approach, American Sign Language, and toddler care
- Certification or coursework in special education or related field is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
