Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to teach Spanish language and culture
- Provide instruction in speaking, reading, writing, and listening comprehension
- Utilize instructional design techniques to create dynamic and immersive language experiences
- Offer individualized support to students through tutoring and language practice
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance language learning
- Foster an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures across diverse communities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- New York State Teaching Certification in Spanish (Grades K–12) or eligibility to obtain certification
- Prior teaching experience in Spanish at the elementary, middle, or high school level preferred
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
