We are seeking a dependable and caring Teacher Assistant to support the healthy intellectual, social, and psychological growth of children in our facility. The ideal candidate will assist the lead teacher in creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and implementing daily classroom activities
- Support children’s educational and social development through individual and group activities
- Help prepare learning materials and maintain a structured classroom routine
- Provide basic caregiving support as needed
- Use creative teaching methods including storytelling, games, drawing, music, and outdoor activities
- Observe children’s behavior and interactions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
- Assist with behavioral guidance and classroom management
- Work collaboratively with other staff members
- Follow all health, safety, and teaching standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Childcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of child development and early learning activities preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and time management skills
- Creative, flexible, and team-oriented
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or obtainable after hire
- Fingerprints/background check required before hire
