Sylver Protections is hiring 40 unarmed security guards for immediate temporary deployment to residential buildings across New York City. This is a short-term contract providing 24-hour lobby security coverage during the 32BJ building workers' labor action.
Each building will be staffed with one guard on post and one backup guard on ground per shift, ensuring continuous coverage around the clock.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: Monday, April 21, 2026
- Duration: Approximately 2 weeks (with possibility of extension)
- Shifts: 8 hours — Day (7AM–3PM), Evening (3PM–11PM), Overnight (11PM–7AM)
- Locations: Multiple residential buildings across NYC
What You'll Do:
- Monitor building lobby and entrance points
- Screen and log all visitors, deliveries, and contractors
- Ensure only authorized individuals enter the building
- Respond to resident inquiries professionally
- Maintain a daily activity log
- Report incidents and emergencies to your supervisor
Requirements:
- Valid New York State Security Guard License (required)
- Must be available for the full 2-week assignment
- Must own professional attire: black suit, tie, black dress shoes
- Prior doorman, concierge, or lobby security experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
