Copywriter & Marketing Services Consultant (Contract)

Status: Independent Contractor / Service Provider 

Location: Hybrid (Remote with periodic on-site collaboration in Evanston, IL) 

Overview of Services

Sylver Consulting, LLC supports Fortune 500 and globally focused organizations in navigating change and innovation. We are seeking a Copywriter & Marketing Services Consultant to provide specialized copywriting and marketing support for our internal brand initiatives. As a professional service provider, you will be responsible for the independent execution of marketing deliverables that align with Sylver’s strategic vision.

Scope of Services (Deliverables)

The Contractor shall provide the following professional services on an as-needed basis:

• Content Production: Generate and edit high-quality social media content for LinkedIn, X, and Facebook.
• Campaign Copywriting: Develop copy for email newsletters, landing pages, and promotional materials.
• Thought Leadership: Produce and refine short and long-form blog posts and ghostwriting support for leadership.
• Multimedia Scripting: Draft scripts for video and podcast-related content.
• Strategic Research: Conduct independent research into industry trends, speaking opportunities, and competitive landscapes to inform content strategy.
• Logistical Support: Provide support for event preparation and marketing sessions.

Contractor Qualifications

• Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within B2B or professional services.
• Educational & Certification: While a degree, coursework, or certification in Writing, Marketing, or Communications is preferred, we prioritize a proven portfolio of results and the ability to work as an independent service provider.
• Operational Independence: Proven ability to manage work independently, providing own tools/equipment and adhering to project-based deadlines.
• Flexibility: Ability to adapt service delivery based on shifting business priorities.

Engagement Terms

• Nature of Relationship: This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement. The Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and professional expenses.
• Compensation: Fees are project-based or hourly at a rate of $16–$19/hour, payable upon submission of a professional invoice.
• No Benefits: This engagement does not include health insurance, 401k matching, paid time off, or other employee benefits.
• Schedule: The Contractor maintains the right to determine their own hours and methods of work, provided that all agreed-upon project deadlines are met.
• Workplace: While primarily remote, the Contractor may need to attend in-person collaboration sessions 2–4 times per month as part of the service delivery.
