Certified Dietary Manager
The Job
The Certified Dietary Manager contributes to dietary success and provides support to the Community by ensuring the effective operation of the facility’s kitchen systems, the quality of meals and to maintain regulatory compliance.
Position and Schedule
- Position: Certified Dietary Manager
- Status: Full-Time, Exempt Salaried
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Evenings and weekends as needed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to assist in planning diets and menus for review by the consultant.
- Ability to implement diets and menus approved by the consultant and assume responsibility to oversee dietary staff in conjunction to preparing and serving the approved diets accordingly.
- Implement dietary component of residents’ assessments and care plans.
- Document progress towards care goals.
- Complete assigned MDS section(s) in a timely manner.
- Review and revise resident’s care plans as necessary
- Maintain records of meal census, menus, diet cardex, diets served and purchase records.
- Implement dietary policies and procedures and food service position agreements.
- Assume responsibility for compliance with sanitation requirements.
- Adhere to Hazardous Communication policies and procedures including PPE as required.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Dietary Manager certification required.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a food service supervisor in longer term care / skilled facilities preferred.
