Sylvan Learning of Cranberry is hiring Part-Time tutors to provide in-person tutoring for students PK-12

Responsibilities:
- Develop rapport with students and establish a fun, engaging learning environment
- Deliver an exceptional level of program quality and an outstanding student experience
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
- Teach using Sylvan based programs
- Direct and motivate students during instruction
- Reward students for successful work
- Evaluate and document student progress
- Communicate student needs to our Educational Team
Requirements:
- For reading/English tutors: Education/Teaching Degree required (or students pursuing an education degree)
- For math tutors: strong proficiency through Algebra 2 (Education degree not required)
- For TestPrep (ACT/SAT) Tutor: Strong ACT/SAT score (30/1400 preferred). Education Degree not required
- 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Ability to make connections with students
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task
