Sylvan Learning of Ocala is currently hiring Part-Time Math and/or Reading Instructors.
Sylvan provides academic tutoring for students from Kindergarten through adulthood so that students can get ahead or get caught up. Our mission is to see success with every child. The tutor plays a crucial role in delivering a high level of content-mastery-focused lessons while building positive and confidence-boosting rapport with the student.
This position is educational and relational.
Skills/Requirements
- Love Teaching!
- Multitask like it is going out of style.
- Love teaching lower-level reading concepts to early literacy students or helping a senior prepare for their SAT/ACT?
- Believe in making a commitment and sticking to that commitment.
- Love to learn and see feedback as an opportunity to grow.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in education, math, or a related field. (Preferred but not required)
- Have experience in teaching students with special needs. (preferred but not required)
