POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Backcountry Cook / Overnight Camp Culinary Assistant to help create memorable dining experiences for ranch guests in outdoor and backcountry settings. Duties include preparing and cooking meals over woodfire grills, transporting and setting up meal sites, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, assisting with overnight camp meals, and providing exceptional guest interaction throughout the experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and morning or evening shifts.
· Must agree to a criminal background check
· Must have a current state-issued driver’s license
· Previous experience in hospitality, food service, catering, ranch operations, or outdoor cooking preferred.
· Ability to cook safely and efficiently over woodfire grills and outdoor cooking equipment.
· Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and leadership.
· Must be dependable, punctual, and capable of managing early morning and evening shifts.
· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
· Ability to lift, carry, and transport food, cooking equipment, and supplies.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail.
· Must be personable, professional, and guest-focused in all interactions.
· Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
· Food safety knowledge or food handler certification preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
