Weekend Floor Supervisor

Position Summary

Sylmar Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Weekend Floor Supervisor to join our residential mental health treatment program. Our Weekend Supervisor provides direct supervision and support to program floor staff within our psychiatric treatment setting. This role ensures the smooth operation of daily activities, supervises staff assignments, assists in crisis situations, and helps maintain a therapeutic and structured environment for residents.

Schedule

• Shift: Saturday and Sunday Required (8a-4:30p or 9a-5:30p)
• Full time or Part time available (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the immediate supervisor of program floor staff during weekend shifts.
• Supervise and support program floor staff during daily routines, ADLs, and groups.
• Assist with crisis management and resident de-escalation.
• Coordinate with Program Director, Nursing, and Activities to maintain consistent care.
• Assign staff to 1:1s, behavioral monitoring, and special functions as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of STP groups and documentation.
• Oversee room/locker checks and ADL processes (laundry, cleanliness, etc.).
• Respond to resident concerns or crises at the nursing station.
• Educate and guide staff on policy, procedure, and behavior management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Program Leadership
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and dignity of all residents at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• BA in related field or DOE
• Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations and support staff in implementing behavioral interventions.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and teamwork in all interactions.
