What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Janitorial position at Syds?
Syd’s in downtown Noblesville is looking for a dependable person to help with dishwashing and general restaurant cleaning.
This is a part-time position, approximately 2–3 morning shifts per week. The ideal candidate is reliable, works independently, notices what needs cleaned, and takes pride in keeping the restaurant sanitary and ready for guests.
Responsibilities include:
- Washing and properly storing dishes, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Cleaning and sanitizing the dish area and sinks
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen, dining, and back-of-house floors
- Cleaning and restocking restrooms
- Emptying trash and replacing liners
- Wiping down tables, counters, doors, and other surfaces
- Cleaning glass, windows, and high-touch areas as assigned
- Helping with occasional deep-cleaning projects
- Helping kitchen staff with prep during down times
- Keeping cleaning supplies organized and notifying management when supplies are low
- Following all sanitation and workplace safety procedures
What we’re looking for:
- Dependable and able to arrive on time
- Comfortable working independently
- Detail-oriented and willing to complete a cleaning checklist
- Able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Previous restaurant, dishwashing, or janitorial experience is helpful but not required
- Must be comfortable working around cleaning products and restaurant equipment
