Position Summary
Cat Lounge Associates are the welcoming face of Sydney’s Cat Lounge. They ensure guests and rescue cats enjoy a safe, positive, and memorable experience. This role blends customer service, light administrative support, retail sales, and upkeep of the lounge environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet and check in guests with warmth and professionalism
· Ring up sales of merchandise and beverages using the POS system
· Maintain a clean, cozy, and organized lounge space between guest sessions
· Monitor guest and cat interactions to ensure safety and appropriate behavior
· Provide information about our adoptable cats, rescue partners, and policies
· Assist with light administrative duties (e.g., filing forms, updating schedules, etc.)
· Restock merchandise, supplies, and retail displays as needed
· Support event setup and cleanup when applicable
· Uphold Sydney’s Cat Lounge’s values of compassion, respect, and hospitality
Qualifications
· Friendly, responsible, and passionate about cats and customer care
· Comfortable handling cats and cleaning litter areas or light messes as needed
· Excellent communication and multitasking skills
· Prior experience with cats and customer service experience is required
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Able to work evenings and weekends as
· Physical Requirements
· Able to stand for extended periods and perform light cleaning tasks
· Comfortable being around multiple cats at once
