What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compact Construction Equipment Technician- Lowville position at SYDENSTRICKER NOBBE PARTNERS?
- Perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned compact construction equipment.
- Repairs will take place in shop and in field with direction from the CCE Mobile Service Manager.
- Diagnose and repair compact construction equipment, with emphasis on hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently; service reports, allocation of time, and tracking parts charged and returned.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by ensuring customer needs and deadlines are met.
- Complete all scheduled repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure equipment and parts areas are in excellent, safe operating condition.
- Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in shop area.
- Maintains equipment and supplies to avoid waste, prevent accidents, and damage to personnel and equipment.

- 2 years or more experience with Heavy Equipment and/or Compact Construction Equipment.
- Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge performing service repairs.
- Demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred.
- Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following.
- Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technicians specialty.
- Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, or heavy equipment.
- Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred.
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
- Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
