Primary Purpose:
Oversee daily operations of the after-school Kids Club program for prekindergarten through fifth grade students. The Site Coordinator provides leadership, supervises staff, communicates with families while ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment during after-school program.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Willing to obtain first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), unlicensed diabetes care assistant (UDCA) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certifications
Willing to obtain Satori alternatives to managing aggression (SAMA) certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read and verbally communicate with children, staff, and parents
Ability to work with groups of children in a positive manner
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to relate to children with courtesy, respect, acceptance, compassion, and patience
Experience:
Previous experience working with children is preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday between the hours of 2:00 to 6:00 pm
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Management:
- Supervise, engage, and interact with students during daily activities.
- Actively participate in all daily activities.
- Manage student behavior and redirect when necessary.
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating leadership, respect, and enthusiasm for students.
Program Management:
- Plan, organize, and implement educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for after-school setting.
- Administer first aid and handle emergencies as needed.
- Ensure all program areas are cleaned and restored to original condition at the end of each day.
- Assist with inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required, including employee timesheets, student attendance rosters and discipline/injury reports.
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing concerns and providing updates.
Other:
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Participate in staff development training, meetings, and special events.
