We are looking for a Business Systems Manager to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that insurance agency systems and operations run reliably and compliantly, enabling our agency to sell and service insurance without interruption.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design, development, and maintenance of core policy administration system (PAS) policy system and internal operational tools (including enhancements, regulatory changes, and vendor upgrades)
- Manage and coordinate front‑end updates related to for
- Apply and promote DevOps practices across insurance agency to improve release reliability, system stability and delivery speed
- Lead front-end development and UI enhancements for web-based inspection and data capture platform
- Manage projects including requirements and coordination with key areas - Underwriting, Compliance, IT, Development, etc.
- Partner with operations and business teams to improve insurance workflows (quoting, servicing, renewals, customer service, claims) and customer experience
- Document front‑end configurations, workflows, data integrations and customization standards
- Manage third-party vendors for system integration, data services, and compliance tools
- Act as a liaison between operations, IT, and executive teams to ensure project goals align with business priorities
- Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and implement process improvements in policy administration and claims handling
- Reduce operational costs and improve service levels through continuous process improvement and cross-department collaboration
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Prior related work experience of 6 years in insurance operations and project management required; relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience working with insurance policy administration system(s) and agency management system(s)
- Experience working with an Insurance Agency, MGA, or Carrier preferred
- Front end development experience a strong plus
- Strong cross-functional team skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with multiple areas of the business
- Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience with other insurance software systems is a plus
