About the Role:

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment room and execute proper tray setup by following prescribed procedures and protocols
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal assessments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist in the identification of oral diseases and conditions.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the system and providing intra-oral photos prior to dentist exam.
- Record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs and treatment information.
- Support the patient by providing exceptional interpersonal and technical skills in the delivery of information and care as it relates to receiving treatment.
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols in the clinic.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide exceptional patient care.
- Stay current with continuing education and advancements in dental hygiene.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA.
- Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
- Follow infection control protocol and prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid California Registered Dental Hygienist license.
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients.
- Proficient in dental software and electronic health records.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
