Cargo Van independent contractor

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van owner operator to join our team. 3 days a week. Tuesday- Thursda. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with loading and unloading cargo. MUST HAVE DOLLY. PAY IS ON A NET 30 Day TERM.

Duties

• Safely operate a van to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
• Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of items transported.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient logistics and delivery processes.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Van Driver or similar role, with a strong understanding of route driving.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of various items.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of forklift operation is a plus.
• Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
