Salary: $78,472 - $117,709

Sun Tran is seeking an experienced Director of MIS to lead organizational technology strategy, oversee system operations and manage a skilled technical team. This role is ideal for an IT leader who excels at guiding complex projects, implementing new technologies, and ensuring reliable secure system performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have five to seven years of progressively responsible IT management experience, including supervisory duties. Microsoft roles-based certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) are preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Director of MIS provides strategic leadership for Sun Tran's information technology operations. Responsibilities include overseeing IT projects, supervising MIS staff and developing long- and short-term technology plans. Additional duties include:

• Managing and prioritizing departmental resources and initiatives.
• Monitoring and maintaining existing systems to ensure up-time and operational reliability.
• Planning and coordination system maintenance, upgrades, and new technology deployments.
• Evaluating and recommending new technologies and negotiating related contracts.
• Providing staff development, mentoring, and performance management.
• Supporting network, desktop, mobile, and operational technologies including AVL systems.
