Swoon is actively hiring a SDET Engineer / Software Development in Test Engineer to join the team!
What your day-to-day will look like?
- Build and drive cutting-edge automation solutions for large-scale web and mobile applications, helping deliver high-quality digital experiences used across global platforms.
- Develop robust end-to-end automation frameworks using modern technologies such as JavaScript, Node.js, Selenium, Mocha, Jest, and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js.
- Own and enhance CI/CD automation pipelines within GitLab and Jenkins, helping teams move faster, release smarter, and improve overall software reliability.
- Work hands-on with dynamic, data-driven applications, APIs, CMS platforms, and digital asset management systems to ensure seamless performance across complex enterprise environments.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve testing efficiency, expand automation coverage, and help shape the future of the organization’s QA strategy.
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment where creativity, problem-solving, and innovation are encouraged to build scalable automation solutions from the ground up.
What’s Required / Technical Skills
- 5 years of hands-on experience building automated testing solutions using JavaScript, Node.js, Selenium WebDriver, Mocha, Jest, or similar automation technologies.
- 3 years of strong experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications.
- 2 years of hands-on experience working with modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js in fast-paced engineering environments.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation infrastructure, and build tools including GitLab, Jenkins, and automated deployment/testing processes.
- Strong understanding of APIs, CMS platforms, databases, web services, HTML, CSS, XML, and dynamic data-driven applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise applications, analyze multi-tier systems, and drive scalable automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in an agile environment.

Location – Sunnyvale, CA
Hybrid Role – Must be onsite 3 days a week and 2 days a week at home
Hourly Rate - $50-$60 an hour
