Summary:
- Are you a detail-oriented accounting or audit professional ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of a leading innovator in its industry? Our financial landscape is dynamic and evolving, with significant investments underway, including a new ERP system go-live, a major acquisition, and the build-out of a new finance and accounting shared services center. This creates a unique opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst to contribute directly to our success.
- In this impactful role, you will be a key player in the preparation of statutory financial statements (some subject to audit) and vital governmental survey reporting, ensuring we meet our diverse regulatory obligations. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, tax, and regulatory teams, leveraging your expertise to facilitate complete and accurate reporting. Working closely with the Director of Financial Reporting and senior finance leaders, you'll be at the heart of critical financial processes.
What You'll Do:
- Drive Accuracy: Prepare detailed statutory financial statement schedules and insightful analyses.
- Ensure Compliance: Compile and submit timely and accurate quarterly and annual government surveys.
- Collaborate Effectively: Partner seamlessly with accounting, legal, tax, and regulatory teams to establish efficient processes and gather necessary information.
- Support Audits: Coordinate with external auditors to provide comprehensive and timely support.
- Optimize Processes: Leverage powerful systems like BPC, Workiva, Excel, and Alteryx to automate manual tasks and maintain robust processes through organizational and IT system transitions.
- Communicate and Improve: Engage proactively with accounting teams to enhance existing processes and implement innovative solutions.
- Deliver Insights: Create accurate and timely ad-hoc reports and analyses to support key business decisions.
- Solve Challenges: Apply your strong accounting knowledge, experience, and analytical skills to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
- Support SEC Filings: Support the preparation of our quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) during peak reporting periods.
What You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or audit (Big-4 experience is a plus!).
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Proven experience utilizing ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools; familiarity with Workiva, SAP ECC, and BPC is highly valued.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and understand broad business and financial implications.
- Adept at multitasking and prioritizing workload effectively to meet critical statutory deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to clearly convey complex information.
- A flexible mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic and evolving environments.
Salary : $50 - $60
