Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and developing engaging training programs, conducting business needs analysis, and applying modern instructional design methodologies. This role is best suited for an individual contributor who is passionate about learning solutions and training operations rather than team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain effective training courses and learning materials.
- Conduct business needs analysis to identify training gaps and recommend learning solutions.
- Apply current instructional design standards and adult learning principles to create engaging learning experiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop customized training solutions.
- Utilize ADDIE methodologies throughout the training development lifecycle.
- Support training operations and ensure smooth implementation of learning programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
- Provide consulting and guidance related to instructional design best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant instructional design experience regardless of education level.
- Candidates with an Instructional Design Certificate must have at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Internship experience will be considered if directly related to instructional design.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to create training courses and learning content.
- Experience performing business needs analysis.
- Strong understanding of instructional design standards and methodologies.
- Experience with ADDIE models.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with dominKnow ONE authoring tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and heavy equipment products.
- Experience conducting DACUM events.
- Familiarity with Questionmark assessment tools.
