Technical Business Analyst (Aviation/Enterprise)
Position Type: 6-Month Contract (Extendable / Long-term potential)
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in the Downtown Loop)
Compensation: $45-$52/hr benefits

Position Overview:
- We are seeking a high-caliber Technical Business Analyst to join a major enterprise organization in downtown Chicago. In this role, you will act as a pivotal liaison between business stakeholders and technical application development teams within a fast-moving Digital Technology group.
- You will focus on driving clarity for crew and logistics-related application projects, supporting core applications, and helping navigate complex legacy application migrations and system integrations. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who isn't afraid to challenge stakeholders, drive alignment, and operate independently across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Management: Confidently engage with, guide, and challenge business stakeholders to extract and refine project goals. Maintain exceptional, driving communication at all levels (managerial to executive).
- Requirements Gathering: Gather complex technical and business requirements, translating them into detailed process flows, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Agile Project Management: Actively create, manage, and refine user stories using Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira.
- UX Collaboration: Partner closely with UX Designers to support stakeholder interviews, align defined user stories with Figma designs, and validate solutions with business units.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation: Author and update precise internal/external documentation. Evaluate and communicate thorough QA insights at every stage of systems development.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with diverse business units (including security, compliance, and core operations) to deliver monthly status reports and optimize systems integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst or Systems Development capacity.
- Enterprise Background: Proven experience navigating and delivering results within a large enterprise environment.
- Industry Expertise: Aviation or Airline industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Legacy Migrations: Direct, practical experience supporting legacy application migrations and complex system integrations.
- Communication: Elite ("A ") communication and interpersonal skills. Must have a proven track record of driving clarity and leading stakeholders rather than just taking notes.
- Tools: Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and familiarity collaborating via Figma.
- Education: Technical degree or equivalent related professional work experience.
