Job Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Supply Chain Project Manager to lead sourcing projects for iron castings and machined iron components from initial quote through to full production. This role is responsible for managing supplier transitions, evaluating costs, coordinating with global teams, and ensuring high-quality production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage sourcing projects for iron castings and machined components, from quote to production.
• Request, analyze, and compare supplier quotes to determine the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Coordinate source moves - including tool transfers and buffer inventory management - to ensure a seamless supplier transition.
• Collaborate with Category Buyers, Supplier Development Engineers, Design Engineers, and Quality Teams to confirm supplier readiness.
• Track project milestones, manage timelines, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities in terms of quality, cost, and capacity.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on project status, risks, and decisions to leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and external regulations.
• Use tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Project to manage data and communicate insights.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in any of the following areas: Purchasing, Casting, Machining, Engineering, Project Management, New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Quality.
• Strong understanding of sourcing processes and supplier transitions.
• Solid business acumen, negotiation skills, and experience analyzing supplier proposals.
• Comfortable working with global cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word); experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with iron castings or machined metal components.
• Previous work in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Familiarity with supplier development and quality assurance processes.
