PURPOSE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze business-critical data and processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Perform advanced analytics on complex datasets, optimization problems, and system designs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness, quality, and reliability of data sources and data collection methods.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
- Partner with internal and external teams to explore innovation opportunities and transition them into prototype and industrialized solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement custom data models, algorithms, and machine learning solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy and scale solutions.
- Act as an internal consultant, supporting developers and engineers across all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on emerging technologies and support team development through mentoring and on-the-job training.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and non-technical documentation.
- Communicate requirements, progress, and results clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Support additional tasks as required by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (required).
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in IT or software engineering, including machine learning development.
- Strong programming expertise (5 years) in at least one of the following: Python, C , or C#.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on IT product development.
- 3 years of experience with machine learning techniques and their practical applications, including strengths and limitations.
- 3 years of experience in software engineering and system architecture.
- Strong analytical thinking and experience working with complex datasets.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
- Willingness to travel
- Experience in process or project management (including relevant certifications).
- Advanced knowledge of emerging technologies and innovation frameworks.
- Experience transitioning prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Ability to mentor and train team members on technical and process-related topics.
- Familiarity with end-to-end product lifecycle development.
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
