The Control Wirer Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day electrical assembly of control panels while ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. This role serves as a technical resource and team lead for electrical assemblers, providing training, guidance, and oversight of work quality.

Production Support

  • Attend daily production morning meetings to stay aligned on workflow and priorities
  • Prepare and distribute morning production reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Submit accurate material requests to the warehouse and deliver hot parts to the production floor to maintain workflow

Training, Improvement & Reviews

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes
  • Train electrical assemblers on job duties, expectations, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to identify and resolve product or process-related issues
  • Create and submit Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to engineering department
  • Participate in personnel review activities

Planning & Materials

  • Participate in schedule / status meetings and update based on priorities and deadlines
  • Maximize / manage material utilization and material needs
  • Manage and audit ship-loose accessories and coordinate pre-building shipments
  • Issue parts to work orders using the internal system (GSS)
  • Performs modifications on existing builds, including iron work and out-of-process activities

Compliance & Tools

  • Keep work centers clean and orderly
  • Accurately follow company policies and standards
  • Operate a computer terminal to look up engineering drawings and models
  • Take an active role in 5S leadership and zone support, ensuring workspace organization and efficiency

Required

  • Ability to accurately install electrical components and wire electrical control panels per assembly drawings
  • Ability to verify components with bills of material to ensure accuracy
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of blueprints and schematics
  • Manage multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Strong ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications
  • Ability to hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications
  • Self-motivation with ability to work without much supervision
  • Ability to have a safety-focused mindset while performing job duties and functions

Preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills both individually and with others
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office - Outlook, TEAMs, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to crawl and kneel in tight spaces to complete work
  • Strong ability to be flexible with working hours to allow for occasional overtime
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic ability to open and navigate SolidWorks 3D

High school graduate or GED is required. At least 2-5 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/production environment or relevant experience is preferred.

Employee frequently uses computer keyboards. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently.
