We’re hiring a Sales Director to lead our business development efforts and drive strategic growth across North America.
What You’ll Do
As Sales Director, you will lead the development and execution of Switchbox's business development strategy across electrification, mobility, energy, and autonomy sectors. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic client relationships, and helping to shape the future of our sales organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the full sales lifecycle: From initial outreach and lead generation to proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of enterprise clients, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, startups, and energy innovators
- Collaborate closely with engineering and leadership teams to define scopes of work, pricing strategies, and value propositions tailored to complex technical projects
- Attend and represent SwitchBox at industry conferences, expos, and client site visits, showcasing our capabilities and identifying new opportunities
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, positioning SwitchBox as a trusted partner in solving high-stakes engineering challenges
- Forecast and report on pipeline health, win rates, and revenue projections, contributing to executive-level planning and strategic decisions
- Play a key role in shaping future sales structure by mentoring junior team members, refining our go-to-market playbook, and helping scale the sales function as we grow
- Continuously track industry trends and client needs, translating them into actionable strategies for business growth and service expansion
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years in technical sales, business development, or strategic account management
- Experience in engineering services, electrification, control systems, or similar complex B2B environments
- Strong relationship-building skills and a track record of closing mid- to large-sized deals
- Familiarity with our client base: OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, startups in EV, autonomy, and energy
- Ability to partner with engineering teams and translate technical value into business outcomes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering degree preferred; MBA preferred

- This role includes a base salary, commission on gross margin from new business, and performance bonuses for exceeding annual targets.
