Swiss Re
Armonk, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 10/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/6/2026
Are you an experienced Property& Casualty (P&C) professional with deep actuarial roots looking to apply your technical expertise in a role with enterprise-wide impact?

Join Swiss Re's Group Internal Audit team and gain broad exposure across the Property & Casualty (re)insurance value chain, including pricing, reserving, underwriting, risk management, governance, and strategic business initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your actuarial expertise to provide credible, independent challenge on important business and risk topics, while expanding your experience beyond traditional actuarial responsibilities. You'll build relationships with senior leaders and develop a deep understanding of how the business operates while helping to strengthen Swiss Re's resilience and risk culture.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Audit for Risk Management and Actuarial, based in London, you will be a senior member of a global audit team and a key US-based resource for P&C actuarial topics. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Actuarial, Risk Management and the P&C (re)insurance businesses and gain a unique enterprise-wide perspective on Swiss Re's business.

The Senior Auditor for P&C Actuarial and Risk is an exciting opportunity for an actuary who enjoys looking beyond technical modeling and wants broader exposure to business operations, risk management, governance, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to audits involving actuarial and risk topics across the P&C (re)insurance value chain, with a particular focus on reserving, pricing, and risk management
  • Assess key risks, governance, processes, and controls, applying actuarial expertise and business judgment to provide independent assurance and challenge at executive levels
  • Identify emerging risks and develop insights and recommendations that strengthen risk management and decision-making
  • Engage with senior actuarial and business leaders, communicating complex findings clearly and constructively
  • Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, collaborating with and coaching colleagues across the global GIA team

About The Team

Group Internal Audit offers a platform to develop a broad understanding of Swiss Re's business. Team members work closely with stakeholders across actuarial, underwriting, finance, risk, and business functions, providing valuable exposure to senior leadership and diverse career development opportunities across the organization.

About You

You bring deep P&C actuarial knowledge and the credibility to engage with and constructively challenge senior actuarial and business leaders. You are intellectually curious and interested in understanding issues beyond your immediate area of expertise. You can quickly get to the heart of complex topics, translate technical concepts into clear business insights, and assess actuarial matters within a broad risk, governance, and business context.

We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in P&C insurance and/or reinsurance, with significant actuarial experience
  • Strong knowledge of P&C actuarial methodologies, particularly pricing, reserving and/or quantitative risk management
  • Actuarial credentials or substantial progress toward qualification preferred
  • Understanding of risks and trends affecting the P&C (re)insurance industry
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business functions
  • Ability to assess actuarial topics within a broader risk management, governance, and business context
  • Experience leading complex projects or workstreams and collaborating across functions

Additional Nice-to-have Qualifications
