Team Service Member - FOH Front of House

Swirlies Treats is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team now through the end of our season in November. We specialize in providing high-quality frozen desserts and exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, enjoyable environment.

Job Summary:

The Team Member is responsible for providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving frozen treats, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Guest Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all guests. Process transactions accurately using the POS system. Must posses basic math skills.
• Product Preparation: Prepare and serve soft serve cones, sundaes, milkshakes, shave ice and floats according to company standards. Ensure consistent product quality and presentation.
• Sanitation and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the service counter, patio, and restrooms. Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service. Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
• Operational Duties: Perform tasks such as trash removal, equipment cleaning, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A positive and energetic individual who is passionate about customer service and hospitality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• A reliable and responsible team player, 16 years old, preference given to those with a demonstrated work history in the food industry.
• Someone who owns their tasks, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering a positive team spirit.
• Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures and be receptive to feedback and coaching.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift)
• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects of moderate weight (40lb), such as ice cream tubs, ingredient containers, boxes of supplies, filled trash bags and cleaning supplies. This may involve lifting from floor level to above waist level.
• Reaching and Bending: Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently to access ice cream, toppings, cups, cones, and other supplies in freezers, refrigerators, storage areas, and under counters.
• Fine Motor Skills: Ability to use fine motor skills for tasks such as swirling ice cream, operating a cash register, handling small items (like sprinkles and spoons), and assembling orders.
• Visual Acuity: Adequate visual acuity to read orders, labels, and cash register displays, as well as to judge portion sizes and ensure the quality of the product.

Availability Requirements

• Must have sufficient availability to work 3 full shifts per week including at least one weekend shift.
• Must be available to work holidays and special weekends such as Easter, Mothers Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc.
• Must be able to work Friday & Saturday until 11 pm during the PWC summer break and 10:00 pm during the school year.

Pay: $12.77 - $19.00 per hour
