Position Details

  • Location: Lexington, Kentucky
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

What You'll Do

  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with departmental standards and protocols
  • Assist radiologists and physicians during interventional radiology procedures
  • Verify physician orders, patient identity, and medical history prior to procedures
  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures and provide appropriate patient care
  • Perform peripheral venipuncture as required
  • Conduct and document procedural time-outs for invasive procedures
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
  • Document patient care activities, medications administered, and procedural details within the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate patient flow with nursing teams, providers, and transport personnel
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental best practices
  • Assist with staff training and student supervision as appropriate
  • Maintain a professional, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment

QualificationsRequired

  • Associate Degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program
  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography [RT(R)]
  • Current Kentucky Radiation License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Strong knowledge of fluoroscopy, radiation safety, and patient care practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Previous Interventional Radiology experience
  • Prior travel healthcare experience
  • Experience supporting procedural workflows and multidisciplinary teams
