Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to work on an as-needed basis to create, update, and maintain accurate CAD files of our fiberglass pool models. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines. This is a contract 1099 position that can be done remotely; however, occasioinal factory visits are required for measurements, so location within 1 hour of Hammonton, NJ 08037 is required.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and edit CAD drawings of fiberglass pool shells, spas, and accessories
- Convert measurements from factory molds into precise CAD files
- Visit the factory to measure molds for accuracy
- Ensure files are formatted to company specifications for manufacturing and marketing purposes
- Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure accurate representation of products
- Maintain organized records of CAD files for ongoing projects
Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Experience drafting pools or similar product designs (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Reliable transportation for on-site visits as needed to the factory in South Jersey
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, sometimes with short turnaround times
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- 1099 Independent Contractor position – paid per project/hour as agreed
