What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cincinnati Lifeguard position at Swimsafe Pool Management?
Duties:
- Provide surveillance of guests primarily in aquatic areas but also on decks and within the resort.
- Enforce the rules and regulations and render appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Respond to emergency situations in their assigned zone. Assist in communicating emergency situations outside of their zone.
- Maintain skills at test-ready level in accordance with SwimSafe Pool Management’s Training Program.
- Advise aquatics management of unsafe and/or unsanitary conditions. Assist guests in a polite and quick manner.
- Perform daily routine duties and maintenance of pool to ensure neat and orderly appearance.
- Attend all trainings offered by SwimSafe Pool Management.
Qualifications:
- Current license in StarGuard. Training is available.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care, sensitive consideration and efficient service to guests.
- Must be at least 15 years of age to participate in a Lifeguard Training Course.
Physical Requirements:
- Swim 150 yards, tread for 1 minutes and retrieve a 10 lb brick at bottom of the water.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a humid environment and/or be immersed in water for extended periods of time
- Position sometimes requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
