Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and load shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to ensure safe handling of goods
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, utilizing order picker tools and inventory management software
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are up-to-date
- Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconcile inventory discrepancies to uphold inventory accuracy
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely while adhering to trade compliance and safety standards
- Assist with shipping logistics including preparing shipping labels, verifying order accuracy, and coordinating with carriers for timely deliveries
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated areas, stocking shelves, and ensuring a clean, organized workspace
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers preferred; familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes
- Basic math skills necessary for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire; experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills; ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and inventory management software such as AS400 or MRP systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining safety standards; good customer service mindset for internal support roles
- Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy items, load/unload shipments, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
