Overview:
The Order Picker/Packer position is an hourly position . This position promotes a “team” approach by cooperating with other fulfillment staff to ensure customer orders are packed and shipped within established timetables. Maintains a safe working environment by adhering policies and procedures.
Performs functions by following WMS or Supervisor directed picks in order to fill customer orders and receiving for incoming items. Supports inventory accuracy by verifying transactions and performing location searches and verifying location status of product.
Works diligently to correctly Pack Customer orders utilizing good judgement while securing the Customer’s orders.Responsibilities:
- Evaluates orders to ensure quality on time delivery
- Works with Supervisor in order to eliminate identified opportunities.
- Reads customer orders, verifies inventory, and pulls items from shelves or bins.
- Prepares orders for packing and shipping
- Provides feedback to leadership with regards to systemic and/or personnel opportunities generating exceptions with orders. Work to remove these opportunities.
- Works independently of others but be able and willing to work as part of a team.
- Maintain attendance according to company policy.
Qualifications: * Ability to use personal computers, Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good problem solving and time management skills
- Good organization and prioritizing skills
- Ability to properly use a tape gun.
- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to read, write and follow directions in English
- Ability to make decisions within a framework. Some opportunity for independent judgment
- Ability to comprehend and apply technical, abstract and complex information
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
- Ability to listen and document discussions and meetings
- Ability to operate general office equipment (computer, printer) stationed between 3 and 4 feet high
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
