This is a full-time on-site role for a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, located in Middletown, NY. The Driver will be responsible for transporting clients safely and punctually to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Responsibilities include assisting passengers with mobility aids, maintaining a clean vehicle, following scheduled routes, adhering to state and local traffic laws, and providing excellent customer service. The Driver will also ensure timely communication with dispatch and perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Experience driving professionally or in customer-focused transportation services
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and road safety practices
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to follow route schedules and maintain time management skills
- Attention to detail with routine vehicle maintenance and safety checks
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Experience in a healthcare or patient-oriented role is advantageous
