About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial and Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Swift Staffing in Catonsville, MD.
This is a contract-to-hire position with a non-negotiable pay rate of $55.00 per hour.
Essential Duties:
- Review financial data to identify trends and prepare reports assessing an organization's financial health.
- Prepare and review grant and funding documents.
- Generate invoices and process payments.
- Compare paid invoice reports with time periods of obligation and prepare reports on missing invoices.
- Review invoice tracking reports against paid invoices to identify outstanding invoices.
- Process travel authorizations and vouchers.
- Prepare documents for approval to de-obligate unused funding in obligations.
- Prepare documents for approval to de-commit unused funding in commitments.
- Identify and mitigate potential financial risks within an organization.
- Create and manage budgets for different departments or the entire organization, including forecasting revenue and expenses.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize data analysis tools to identify insights and trends from financial data.
- Process payroll, participate in hiring best practices, and facilitate employee relations initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- At least five years of accounting and finance experience required.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Financial Specialist, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Certified Internal Auditor preferred.
- Human Resources experience including hiring, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sage Accounting Software required.
- Able to work 9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch onsite.
- Able to pass an FBI background check and drug testing.
